Ah, the smell of a new year

Have you ever smelled a new year? It smells something like you've never smelled before. I cant describe it to you unfortunately because I dont know what it smells like either. But we sure know what an old year smells like, especially when it wasnt good--it stinks! I must say i havent experienced any of those in the recent years, which is always a breath of fresh air....hmm...perhaps that is the smell of a new year.

Well, i guess thats a good way to start! For those that know, this is an exciting year, as the Hunshonahs would call it, its the year of the knot (had to come up with some semi believable name for a group of wise people that dont even exist so that i could put some wow sound behind the new year, like that of the chicken noodle soup--though i guess that wouldnt fly too well with the bird flu going on). Anways, back to the subject on hand....

The year of the knot. Yes, well, the creative sorts and those planning their own would get this--a wedding. Hm. Its too bad that planning one isnt as fun as they make it seem. I guess, planning someone else's wedding would be more exciting. Not so much stress falls on you because, ultimately, your not the one getting married. But this time it falls on me. Now dont get me wrong, i am excited about getting married, but i guess its that crucial time amongst the planning madness that suddenly adrenaline runs out at the 19th mile mark and you realized running only five miles a week wasnt proper training for the marathon! (not that i have ever ran or trained for a marathon...no actually, thats not true. I mean, of course i havent run one yet, though some day i would like to, but i started to train for one and suddenly this joint was hurting or another join the next day and suddenly you realize you need your joints when your 80 and maybe its not a good idea to just get rid of them yet. Yes, well, thats my introduction into this wonderful and interesting concept of writing your innermost thoughts for others to ridicule or worse yet stare blankly back at you because what you said was not translatable for their understanding. Ah, and so the planning continues.....

Will write more later, over and out from over yonder!
P.S., its not later yet, (technically one or two seconds would be...but i forgot to explain my little critter friend! He is from the lovely state of Colorado - in the US for my friends overseas. He [it could be a she, i didnt have time to stop and ask] was just too cute not to stop and shoot...my camera that is!)
